About Us

Since our inception in 1999, Cactus Corner Travel Centre has been on a mission to assist weary commercial and light traffic travellers on the road. We strive to provide a convenient stop for all travellers to first-rate meals and a place to relax for the night in our 100+ truck parking lot.

Operated by local business owners, we host a large convenience store, restaurant, commercial fuel with Pilot Flying J, retail fuel with Shell, wholesale bulk/farm fuels, Shell lubricants, all vehicle wash and tire repair and services.

The Location

We’re located east of Hanna, Alberta, at the junction of Highway 9 and Highway 36 South, under the shadow of a 50-foot steel cactus.

Highway 36 is the wide load, high load, and heavy haul highway leading from the US border to the rich oil deposits near Fort McMurray.

Highway 9 is the main corridor connecting Calgary and Saskatoon, SK. This area is the center of the Alberta ranch country, with miles of wide-open prairie greeting travellers. The weather is rather arid, which creates some high-quality vegetation for the cattle industry.

Our ultimate mission is to provide travellers with seamless services to make their long trips seem a little shorter.
